Our Peavies are designed and constructed for balance and easy handling. The handles are made of Hard Maple. The Hooks and Pikes are made of hammer forged (not cut) high-carbon 13 gauge steel. The stop is to prevent the hook from falling back onto the handle.

All hooks and handles are interchangeable to accommodate your specific job requirements. Our #5 and #7 sized hooks are used to handle smaller logs.

Peavies are intended to have only human force applied during their use. Adding an extension or mechanical force on the handle can result in tool damage and serious injury to the user.
